Abstract In recent decades, solar energy has emerged as the most promising renewable source and best alternative to conventional due its abundant availability, free, clean, no atmospheric hazards, eco-friendly, sustainable nature, other factors. Because of wide temperature range (up 400 °C), parabolic trough collector is commonly used in concentrated power technology. A can be divided into two types based on applications: low medium high temperature. The first category widely utilized household hot water, water purification, industrial process heating, desalination, food processing, among uses.
